LCTC Robotics Center
After just over a year, construction at the Livonia Career Technical Center including the new home for the Livonia Warriors, Tyros Teams and our FTC teams is complete. This center is a step down in terms of size but a dramatic step up in terms of technology and applicable space. The main field room alone could tell you this was designed with robotics involved. The high ceilings allow for future games that might include some height to easily be put into place without having to worry about issues we had in the past. The rooms branching off of it include the machine/ machining room that also have space slightly separated for our CNC cutter along with materials storage. Next to that room is the mechanical assembly, and the not quite separated electrical room with not only space to put together the robot but windows so even a passerby can see what is going on. Then in the back is independent space for our FTC teams along with closets for each team to store materials in between meetings or even just after their regular competition season ends. In addition, two shared flex classrooms serve as the space for our programming teams and two shared lounges serve as space for Imagery, Communications and Impact award teams.

After falling short of an outright win throughout the entire year the Warriors were thirsting for a win. So the Warriors spent the Halloween weekend giving other teams a fright going 6-0 in the qualifiers securing the first seeded alliance. Then adding 5712 Hemlock's Gray Matter for brains, 3770 Blitz Creek for some speed, and 9996 a demo team that seemed to be haunting the league with its mysterious appearances all over the country the Warriors were ready for a scary good win. Tricks of upsetting the higher seed they shared seemed to catch on after they pushed the eighth seeded alliance to the lower bracket but ended up facing the fifth seeded alliance in the upper bracket semi-finals sending them down into the lower bracket followed by the third seeded alliance upsetting the second seeded alliance whom the Warriors also sent packing to the lower bracket. In the end the first round knocked down fourth seeded alliance ended up resurfacing for a chance at grabbing the crown but it was finally treat time for the Warriors as they won in a stable 2-0 in the best of 3.
