September got off to a roaring start after the holiday weekend for the first of two Girl's Competitions for the year. The Athena Warriors finished the qualification matches an even 3-3 ending up 13th place and the first pick of the sixth seeded alliance. Alongside alliance captain's 2834 Bionic Blackhawks, Team 226 Hammerheads, and Team 9226 GR Pioneers the alliance got off to a rousing start upsetting the third seeded alliance, and then the second seeded alliance in the upper bracket the alliance would fall to the first seeded alliance as the second seeded alliance got their revenge in the lower bracket finals landing the Warriors and their sixth seeded alliance third place at the event.

Then the event so popular they do it twice in one weekend, Kettering Kick Off. The Warriors finished qualifications 4-2 grabbing the 14th spot and the first pick of the seventh seeded alliance. While Tyros unfortunately finished with the reverse record of 2-4 landing them in 25th at the end of qualifications and not being picked during alliance selection. Warriors however made a hopeful start beating the second seeded alliance but falling into the lower bracket after facing off against the third seeded alliance. But the fight went on into the lower bracket semi-final after defeating the fifth seeded alliance but finally finished after falling to the fourth seeded alliance landing the Warriors in the 4th place alliance at the event. The event really showed the benefit of the newer double-elimination bracket as the Warriors never faced the same opponent twice and played against alliances they never would have in the old single elimination format.
