ABOUT THE LIVONIA WARRIORS
FRC teams 2832 and 6861 are based in Livonia, Michigan and are made up of students from the three Livonia Public High Schools: Churchill, Franklin, and Stevenson. The Livonia Warriors and Tyros represent the mascots of the three Livonia high schools, each named after historical warriors in our nation. The Tyros, our rookie FRC team, was added to bring the new freshman aboard. The word Tyros means “young soldiers” in Latin. Checkout the Tyros webpage.
Both FRC teams are based at the brand new Livonia Career Technical Center (LCTC) located across the street from Churchill High School where we use the resources and facilities to build our robots and work on other team tasks. Our teams are broken down into Squads which include designing, building, testing, driving, safety, scouting and other endeavors like fundraising, writing, imagery, promotions and marketing. We are very proud that we have hosted a FRC District Competition at Churchill high school since 2011. Take a look at a typical yearly team schedule.
Our teams could not function without the guidance of our adult mentors, including parents, community members, and our sponsors. We appreciate the time, energy, and support provided by these adults who keep our Warrior machines running smoothly. Contact LPS FIRST Coordinator Isolina Carlini at [email protected] for more information about becoming a member of the Livonia Warriors team.
